Pre-Production, Production and Post- Production
Pre-Production- Work done on a product, especially a film or broadcast programme, before full-scale production begins.
Production- The action of making or manufacturing from components or raw materials, or the process of being so manufactured.
Post- Production- Work done on a film or recording after filming or recording has taken .
Pre-production is the stage I work best at, I love thinking of creative ideas and plot twists.
Jayne Pierson Is a professional Costume Designer. She has worked for artists such as Jessie J, and worked on short student films such as ‘Life’s a Drag’.
I would hire Jayne to design creative costumes for my short film ‘Creep’ because she has great experience with working on creative costumes, and also working with students.
For Production- I’d hire makeup and hair stylist Donald McInnes.
Donald has famously worked on titles such as
- Gavin and Stacey
- Big Fat Quiz Of The Year
- My Mad Fat Diary
- Into The Woods
- And The Brit Awards 2009- 2011
I would hire Donald because, again he has had expeirience in the film industry, and is looking for a bigger break. He has worked on My Mad Fat Diary which is set in a high school so he had expeirnce in high school shows. He styled the actors in the film Into The Woods which means he has experince in designing mythical/ creepy looking makeup. He would be cheap to hire, and it would give him more expeirnce in the film industry.
For Post- Production I would hire Wendy Greene Bricmont
Brichmont has worked on films such as
- Kindergarton cop
- Mean Girls
- The Duff
- I Think I Love My Wife
- and My Super Ex-Girlfriend.
I would hire Brichmont to edit my film because she has lots of expeirience in the filming industry. She has edited a wide range of films from romcoms- action. A lot of the films she edited were set in highschool like Creep so I feel she would be great for this role.
CREEP
For our first unit we had to get into groups of 5 and produce a 1 minute minimum short film. We were given the title creep but were told we can be creative and interpretive the title however we would like. Our group, Me, Sophie, Sinead, Magda and Sian decided to produce a psychological thriller based in a school. Our idea was to lead the audience into thinking a school boy crush on another girl gets out of hand, and he becomes mentally obsessed with her. The stalker has covered their room with pictures of the girl, and wears a mask to hide their identity. however as it’s a thriller, we wanted to include a jumpy scene, and a plot twist. The plot twist was that the obsessive stalker was actually proved to be there maths teacher ;Mr Kreep. So far Magda has drawn up a rough story board of scenes/camera angles we have in mind. Sian has written out the script and a rough storyline to follow. Sinead has come up with a production schedule, and has also filled out a recce sheet for the location we are filming in, which is Exeter College. This morning I filled out the health and safety risks, and im also planning out the presentation. We have all decided to have a go at filming. Me, Madga and Sophie will be editing the short film so we can all get a fair share of helping out with the overall project.

Everything Wrong With The Pretty Little Liars A Reveal.

I’ve been watching Pretty Little Liars (PLL) since the first aired episode on
June 8th 2010. Because of this, its not a surprise that I was disappointed to find out Cece Drake was the tormenter known as ‘A’.
Here are a few reasons why Cece Drake being A doesn’t make sense.
- Cece never went to high school but somehow managed to get into the yearbook, oh and also was prom queen?
- Bethany is 5 years younger than Cece, how somehow managed to look 10 years older.
- The finale shows Cece explain how Bethany pushed Toby’s mother to her death, yet we have already seen Toby’s mother be alive when he is a teenager.
4) Cece was a Radleys Patient at the same time as Mona, So why was she given a visitors pass?
5) If Cece wanted to be a girl, why did she make herself prom king, why did she buy a suit for her prom, and why A’s body shape a mans?.
6) A is taller in spencer in one episode, however Cece is shorter than spencer when they meet at the bar.
7) Jason said that he had seen Cece that night, Cece has also admitted to being there, so why did she have a completely different story in the final episode and denied being there when we all know its 100% true…
8) Melissa and Bethany didn’t even know each other, so what would she have to discuss with her?
The end episode seemed made up on the spot with not much background to why Cece would hate these 4 girls enough to kill them, just because they seemed like ‘they were happy Ai was gone’ . The finale seemed rushed and stupid. They had already said that the finale will not feature a Transgender story line due to being ‘too wild’. We were told the reveal would be heartbreakingly emotional. and I don’t know about anyone else but I didn’t feel sorry for Cece one little bit.
Overall the ending was a huge let down and I’d love Marlene King to explain some of these mistakes.
